Southill Farm Long Compton Oxfordshire

This project was a complete new build ECO property constructed in new system comprising of polystyrene blocks filled with concrete to give maximum thermal values. The external walls then constructed in conventional Cotswold stone from local quarry. The project lasted for 18months with contract value for electrical /AV installation of 500k The electrical installation was complete smart home installation to Main House Accommodation block and swimming pool complex and Cinema room. The digital lighting control system was Phillips Dynalite, AV System was Sonus with complete DMX Control system to allow operation of all systems via I Pad /I phone The electrical systems is backed up by generator and automatic changeover system.

Long Compton stretches along the A3400 at the foot of a hill. At the base of the hill is the attractive 13th century church of St Peter and St Paul. The churchyard entrance is guarded by a picturesque timber-framed two-storey lych gate. Across the road are numerous attractive cottages of golden-hued Cotswold stone, some of which are thatched. Legend says that St Augustine came to Long Compton in the 6th century, and preached a sermon on the site where the church now stands.
